I saw I, Robot last night. It's funny because I posted about Dark City less than a month ago, and how much I was looking forward to Alex Proyas' next movie. I didn't realize it would be this one. As most of you know I, Robot is an Issac Asimov book a collection of robotic stories that revolve around the three laws of robots which Asimov invented. Basically this movie bought the right to the name and the right to use the three laws, but nothing else from the stories. And that is all right. I was fully prepared to hate this movie. To stand up and say, Will Smith must be stopped, Proyas is off his nob, boycott crappy cg robots. But Smith turns in a credible performance sans his usual knee jerk rap tune. Proyas maintains his level of quality film making (although this will never touch the place Dark City or the Crow has in my heart) and the robots look MUCH better on the big screen then they looked when I saw the preview on my computer.

In summation, I saw it for free and therefore am not going to complain much. If you want to shell out your money to see a Will Smith action flick with obvious footwear company product placement and a bunch of neat robot combat, then I support you in this decision. I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would, you might too.
